With that said, like any multiplayer game, problems can occur, which is why we're keeping track of all the server issues, bugs and other problems in Battlefield 2042. Developer DICE has published a list of known issues that players could run into during the Battlefield 2042 beta. We've compiled the problems below and we'll be closely monitoring to see if any other issues crop up repeatedly. Bear in mind that this is a beta test, a fully open beta for much of its duration at that, so it's perfectly normal if there are server problems or other connection errors, as the teams at DICE and Electronic Arts are using this test to measure various metrics.
'Unable to connect to the EA servers' error
The Battlefield 2042 beta has faced widespread connectivity issues on all platforms, amid high demand, following its early access rollout. Please see ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information.

'Unknown Error' notification
Those in the Battlefield 2042 beta may also face a red notification reading "Unknown Error" in the top right-hand corner of the screen. The nondescript error appears to relate to ongoing server issues, with work underway on a fix, according to Electronic Arts.
Open Beta Early Access QR Code
The Battlefield 2042 beta has now opened its doors to early access players, welcoming those with Battlefield 2042 preorders, plus active EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions. Electronic Arts has acknowledged the issue and promises a future fix.
