It's always great to have more to do.

What you need to know

  • The completion of the new Deep Stone Crypt raid has resulted in multiple pieces of content being unlocked in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
  • This includes a new mission from Variks, a new quest from the Exo Stranger that has you explore brand new Eclipse Zones on Europa, and an Exotic quest for The Lament sword that can be obtained from Banshee-44 in the Tower.
  • It's likely that Eclipse Zones will shift around over time, though nothing is known yet.

Multiple fireteams have completed the brand new Destiny 2 raid, the Deep Stone Crypt, which became available to all owners of the Beyond Light expansion earlier today. As a result of this, several new pieces of content have become available to Beyond Light players. These include the following:

  • A new special mission from Variks, The Loyal on Europa
  • A new quest from the Exo Stranger that tasks you with defeating enemies in a new Eclipsed Zone area on Europa
  • An Exotic quest that rewards you with The Lament Exotic sword from Banshee-44 in the Tower

Since doing the Exo Stranger's quest rewards you with a new Europa sidearm, the High Albedo, it's likely that these Eclipsed Zones will change to at least one other area so the other known-but-currently-unavailable Europa weapon, the Arctic Haze, can be earned as well. Ultimately, though, we'll just have to wait and see what Bungie has in store for players next.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available for $40 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 PCs.
