Can't find a RTX 30-series GPU? Check out this RTX 2060 deal at Newegg

Prime Day has been a bit of a bust when it comes to graphics cards (GPU), especially if you've been focused on what Amazon is serving up. NVIDIA's new RTX 30-series cards were sold out long before the big event — with a few bundles appearing and immediately disappearing — and most people were looking to save big on the previous generations. And we have seen some worthwhile Prime Day GPU deals from both the AMD and NVIDIA camps. However, the best deal we've seen so far is on NVIDIA's RTX 2060, down to just $285 at Newegg.

1080p And 1440p

This might not be from the latest RTX 30-series lineup, but good luck getting your hands on one of those. In the meantime, the RTX 2060 is a great mid-range card that can handle smooth 1440p and high-end 1080p gaming on all major titles. At $55 off with a rebate card and promo code, the $285 price is about as cheap as we've seen this GPU sell for.

I've had this RTX 2060 from MSI in my home gaming PC for a year now, and it's been nothing but reliable. It runs cool with dual Torx fans, it handles a 1440p resolution with triple-digit frame rates in pretty much all modern games, and it's small enough that it's going to fit into most builds.

It's comparable in price and performance to the AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, but edges it out in both categories now thanks to big savings from Newegg. I paid a whole lot more for this GPU, and indeed it doesn't seem like this card has been seen at this price many times if at all.

In terms of raw specs, you're looking at 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 1,920 CUDA cores, a 1,710MHz clock speed, 14Gbps memory speed, and a 192-bit memory bus. It's not as impressive if you're measuring up to RTX 30-series cards, but in real life performance it can certainly hold its own. You're still getting the big RTX benefits — like ray tracing and DLSS 2.0 — which can turn compatible games into smooth, great-looking experiences above what the card can usually achieve.

This isn't the most powerful GPU out there, but it's certainly still a solid pick for anyone who's on a budget and doesn't want to spend more than $300 on a new card. I'm still expecting to wring out as much gaming as I can from mine, and I only wish I'd bought it at this Prime Day price over at Newegg.
