If you're looking for something new to play on your Xbox One this weekend and you like to go fast then this one's for you. The latest installment from Motorsport Games, NASCAR Heat 5, is available to play all weekend for free so long as you have Xbox Live Gold.
The official game of America's iconic stock car series, NASCAR Heat 5 lets you go from driving on dirt tracks all the way through to the NASCAR Cup Series via the Xfinity and Trucks in between. All current drivers, teams and circuits are on hand with a selection of liveries in the base game joined by a ton more through the season pass DLC content.
If you've been on the fence about getting this year's version or simply never tried it before, there's never been a better time. I'm a big fan of NASCAR Heat 5 and while it's not perfect it's a tremendous amount of fun.
The latest patch has also just become available that adds AJ Allmendinger to the Xfinity driver roster alongside a bunch of other fixes.
Our latest patch for #NASCARHeat5 is now available for all platforms!

Turning Left
NASCAR Heat 5
From $42 at Amazon From $40 at Microsoft From $50 at Steam (PC)
Not hugely different to the previous game but a solid package for fans
Much of NASCAR Heat 5 could probably have been applied to last year's game as a DLC, but the new testing mode and beginner-friendly race setup tool in particular are nice additions. This is still the complete package for NASCAR fans.
