Go for it.
Destiny 2 has a lot of weapons and the latest entry to its ever-growing arsenal is the "Ruinous Effigy" Trace Rifle. Trace Rifles are incredibly powerful and can take down even bosses in the blink of an eye. They're essentially laser beams.
The Ruinous Effigy has a number of perks that make it ideal for high-level activities. It causes enemies killed with the weapon to turn into balls of energy. You can use these balls of energy in two ways. Firstly, you can simply slam the ball on the ground with the press of the Right Trigger on your controller to vaporize anyone nearby. Secondly, you can hold the Left Trigger to create an aura of destruction around you that slowly chips away at your health, but kills anything caught in it.
If you were debating whether it was worth it to grind out this quest, let me tell you that it definitely is. The Ruinous Effigy comes in handy when you're doing Nightfall: The Ordeal because you have other means of taking down enemies. It's a great support weapon, but my first choice is still the "Divinity" Trace Rifle because it's easier to use.
Let us know if you earned this weapon and are using it. What do you think?
