You'll be able to take your time in Night City.
Have you ever wondered just how long it would take for a day to pass in the world of Cyberpunk 2077? CD Projekt RED has made it so you'll be able to role-play and take in all the sights at your own pace, making it so a full day takes approximately 3 hours in the real world. This is significantly longer than other open-world games with day and night cycles, including the company's previous title The Witcher 3.
It didn't take long for people to try and calculate just how long a day would take in the virtual world with some coming to the result of less than an hour. However, it was confirmed on Reddit, using Alanah Pearce's gameplay Q&A as the source of this little information tidbit. Other lucky souls who enjoyed some gameplay said as much. So, what does this mean for players looking forward to Cyberpunk?
Well, you're going to have plenty of time each day to get quests done, but also to wander around and take in the sights. To put this into some context, a full day and night cycle in GTA V is around 50 minutes long and 90 minutes in The Witcher 3. There's going to be plenty to explore in Night City and its surroundings and CD Projekt RED clearly wants you to take your time.
Fear not if you find this a little daunting as it's expected you'll be able to advance time without being penalized with a loading screen. Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released on November 19, 2020. You can preorder the game right now on PC and consoles.
