Updated June 9, 2020: Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 will run at 4K resolution and 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The game will also get cross-play sometime in 2021.
Destiny 2 is an incredibly popular first-person shooter and it looks stunning on Xbox One X. However, despite the fact that it runs at native 4K resolution, beating the PlayStation 4 Pro's blurry image quality by miles, it still renders at 30 frames per second (FPS). However, it seems like that's about to change when the next-generation machines roll out.
Today, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 would be upgraded for next-generation machines. Hopefully, this means that the title will render at 60 frames per second, or higher, on Xbox Series X since it has a 2-3 teraflops advantage over the PlayStation 5. However, only time will tell. We should expect better effects on Microsoft's machine in my opinion, at least.
