Today I noticed GNOME 43 is removing its dog bark sound effect. And my first genuine reaction was: “There’s a dog bark sound effect in GNOME?!”. Yup, there is. Open Settings > Sound and scroll to the ‘Alert Sound’ section near the bottom. There, right before your eyes is a litter of choices: bark, drip, glass, and sonar. Weirdly, for reasons unknown, one Ubuntu user is being hounded (sorry) by a dog bark whenever they hit an error.
