During Black Friday we always see plenty of high-end laptops get a discount, but prices are often still higher than many people are willing to pay. Taking a look at the best Black Friday laptop deals, it's clear that the majority are still somewhere around the $1,000 mark — or higher.
Gateway made a return to the laptop game a couple of years ago, with sales exclusively through Walmart. These laptops are on any day a great bargain, ideal for a beginner laptop for the kids or just something cheap to have around for email, web browsing, and general productivity. While these laptops are always affordable, early Black Friday savings have cut prices even more.
The 15.6-inch Gateway ultra slim notebook, regularly $249, is currently down to $179. There's also an 11.6-inch Gateway 2-in-1 laptop with touch display that's down to $149. These are labeled as Black Friday deals at Walmart, so it's unlikely we'll see the prices dip any further.
Gateway 15.6 Ultra Slim Notebook | $70 off
This 15.6-inch notebook has quad-core Intel Pentium Silver N5030 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of eMMC storage, Wi-Fi 6, THX audio, and a year's subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal.
Gateway 11.6 2-in-1 Laptop | $50 off
This 2-in-1 PC from Gateway features an 11.6-inch touch display that can be rotated around for tent, stand, and tablet modes. It's powered by an Intel Celeron N4020 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and it has 64GB of eMMC storage. A year's subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal is included.
These laptops aren't going to win any speed races, but they're perfectly suitable for homework or productivity work. The 15.6-inch model is going to deliver a bit of extra performance and storage, but it doesn't have a touch display. If you'd like a laptop that can be used as a tablet, the 11.6-inch model is no doubt a better choice.
To boost productivity, both models come with a year's subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal. This includes 1TB of cloud storage, all your favorite Office apps, and more. A yearly subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal costs about $70 per year, so you're essentially paying even less for the laptop than the price tag might suggest. Note that both of these laptops are compatible with Windows 11, though they both ship with Windows 10.
