Microsoft's Surface Pro 8 launches tomorrow, making it the perfect time to pick up a Surface Pro 7.
Most of Microsoft's new Surface hardware lineup starts shipping tomorrow, October 5, 2021. The Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, and Surface Laptop Studio will all be available through several retailers. With the new hardware from Microsoft on the horizon, the previous generation of Surface hardware is now on sale. You can pick up a Surface Pro 7 for as low as $550 from Microsoft.
While the Surface Pro 8 improves upon its predecessor in several areas, the Surface Pro 7 is still a good device. It earned a spot on our list of the best Windows 10 tablets and held that spot for months thanks to its sleek design and versatile form factor.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7
The Surface Pro 7 may be one generation old, but it's still a solid 2-in-1 device. You can grab one now for a great price through the Microsoft Store.
The Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 device that can be used as a tablet or a PC. You can generally get through an entire day with the Surface Pro 7's battery, which can last up to 10.5 hours. It also features a USB-C port that makes it easy to attach accessories and dongles.
The current deal from Microsoft isn't quite the best price we've seen for the Surface Pro 7, but it's close. Last week Best Buy had a deal that brought the Surface Pro 7 to $500, though that deal has since ended. Note that the deal in the Microsoft Store doesn't come with a Type Cover, so you'll have to pick one up along with any other Surface accessories you'd like.
The Surface Pro 7 ships with Windows 10, but it will receive a free upgrade to Windows 11, which starts rolling out on October 5, 2021.
