Minecraft Dungeons was a compelling action-RPG when it launched, but has improved considerably since then with expansion after expansion. Today, Mojang Studios has announced the sixth DLC expansion for Minecraft Dungeons (and the final expansion in the Minecraft Dungeons Season Pass), which will add a ton of new content and conclude Minecraft Dungeons' current story, which follows the Arch-Illager and the Orb of Dominance.
Minecraft Dungeons' Echoing Void DLC is official, and it launches on July 28, 2021, alongside Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition. Echoing Void finally takes Minecraft Dungeons players to The End, a dark and foreboding dimension filled with new threats and perilous environments. Mojang apparently has a lot up their sleeves with this expansion, so players will have lots of reasons to return when it releases.
Echoing Voids will of course include new levels, enemies, powerful gear, puzzles, and more. However, a free update launching with Echoing Voids will also include a new "Gauntlet of Gales" game mode, which will test players' abilities in puzzle-and-trap-filled mazes. Finally, we know that the free update will include another batch of new enchantments, with enticing names like "Ambush," "Shadow Blast," and "Void Strike."
Minecraft Dungeons' Echoing Void DLC launches for all Minecraft Dungeons platforms, including Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Switch on July 28, 2021. Echoing Void is included in the Minecraft Dungeons Season Pass, and will likely be available for standalone purchase. If you're playing Minecraft Dungeons through Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud), you'll need to purchase the Season Pass or Echoing Void to play.
However, launching simultaneously with Echoing Voids is Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition, the quintessential version of Minecraft Dungeons that will include the base game and all six current expansions for one value-driven price. We don't have an exact price, yet, but we shouldn't have to wait long to find out.
The End is a fitting final destination for the current chapter of Minecraft Dungeons, and I'm excited to get my hands on this DLC when it launches later this month. Hopefully, we'll learn more about Echoing Void and Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition ahead of their launch on July 28. If you're worried that this is the end for Minecraft Dungeons, don't be. Mojang Studios has confirmed that more is planned for Minecraft Dungeons' future, they're just not ready to talk about it yet.

It's been a busy first year for Minecraft Dungeons, and now the ARPG dungeon-crawling Minecraft spin-off is looking ahead towards its future, with four new expansions planned. The first three expansions, Howling Peaks, Flames of the Nether, and Hidden Depths are now available, and players can pick up the Season Pass to gain access to Echoing Void as soon as it launches.
