If you're looking for the best mouse that will help you reduce fatigue and strain injuries, then you want to go ergonomic. An ergonomic mouse has been designed specifically to ensure your hand and wrist stays in tip top condition and there are some extremely good choices out there. These are the best ergonomic mice we recommend.

Best overall

Logitech MX Master 3

Staff pick

With up to 70 hours' worth of battery life between charges, the MX Master 3 from Logitech will easily last a week or more of intense work. It's a solid ergonomically designed mouse with an emphasis on productivity. The build quality is superb, the shape is perfect, and the included dongle can also support multiple Logitech devices. Likewise, the MX Master 3 can pair with multiple devices at once, making it perfect to carry between home and the office.

Best for gaming

Razer DeathAdder V2

The DeathAdder is Razer's most popular gaming mouse ever, and not just for its performance. The now-iconic design makes it one of the most ergonomic gaming mice you will find, with a body designed to nestle perfectly into your hand. The DeathAdder V2 has optical switches, one of Razer's most recent, high-performing sensors, RGB, a snag-free cable, and customizable buttons with onboard storage. Additionally, if you'd rather have a wireless version, you can get that too for an additional premium.

Best Bluetooth

Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse

The Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse is essentially a more affordable Surface Precision Mouse that still features programmable buttons and the same comfortable design. Not only does that mean it's extremely nice to use for those long days at the PC, but it's versatile and extremely good value. You even get it in a choice of four colors to add a little more personal flair to your input device.

Stand tall

Logitech MX Vertical Mouse

An alternative to an ergonomic mouse or a trackball is a vertical mouse, particularly good if you suffer from carpal tunnel. The MX Vertical combines the best of Logitech mice into this unique design that's both good for your hands and wrists and packed with features. Things such as adjustable DPI, customizable buttons, and great battery life make the MX Vertical a standout among the crowd.

Top trackball

Logitech MX ERGO Ergonomic Mouse

Logitech makes some of the finest ergonomic mice around and the MX ERGO is no different. Well, aside from having a trackball where your right thumb resides. This combines the best of both worlds, with a more traditional mouse form factor joined by the convenience and comfort of a trackball. It's wireless, has excellent battery life, customizable buttons and an adjustable angle for the trackball to dial in your comfort settings. You can also use it with multiple devices without repairing, perfect for flipping between home and the office.

Budget choice

AmazonBasics Ergonomic Mouse

If you just want a solid ergonomic mouse without spending a lot then this is the one for you. It's a full-sized, wireless mouse, designed with comfort in mind and strong battery life. The sensor is limited to 1600 DPI, so you won't be doing any gaming, but fast scrolling makes navigating documents and web pages a breeze.

Left-handed

Elecom M-XT4DRBK

Many ergonomic mice are designed exclusively for right-handed use. This one, however, from Elecom's EX-G series has a forgettable name but is affordable, ergonomically designed, and importantly, specifically for left-handed people. It's wireless, boasts six customizable buttons, changeable DPI and a maintenance-free design that should keep dirt and dust out of your trackball's bearings.

Being comfortable while working

Being comfortable and taking care of your hands and wrists while you work is of paramount importance and if it's a situation you spend extended time in, an ergonomic mouse is an easy recommendation.

Even easier is the mouse to recommend, since the Logitech MX Master series has been the one to beat for many years now. Every refresh gets a little better, but the core design remains the same and you really can't do any better.

But it's quite pricey, and you might find your needs are a little better catered for by another of these great mice, or even a trackball. Whichever you decide to go for, your wrists will thank you.
