Forza Horizon 4's latest update shows the game is far from finished

Forza Horizon 4 insists on shocking its community by continuously releasing updates and post-launch support, even a full three years after its original release in 2018. Playground Games has released the Series 37 Update for Forza Horizon 4, which includes new seasonal challenges and rewards, a Mexican supercar, and a new game mode for Super7. Arguably even more significantly, Playground Games has also shared some of its plans for FH4, as Forza Horizon 5 is right around the corner.

First, let's get the Series 37 Update out of the way. Forza Horizon 4 is introducing a new wave of challenges, events, and rewards, as per usual. On top of that, the Series 37 Update introduces a brand-new supercar with the 2017 VUHL 05RR. This is the first-ever supercar to hail from Mexico, and is satisfyingly appropriate with Forza Horizon 5 being Mexico-bound later this year. Finally, the High Stakes mode in Super7 gives players a chance at fantastic prizes and exclusive rewards, in exchange for massively increased risk.

Players invested in Forza Horizon 4 will hopefully find lots to love in the Series 37 Update, but it's also important to note that Forza Horizon 4 is far from finished. Playground has confirmed that more updates are planned for Forza Horizon 4's future, and the studio is committed to ensuring the game is a fun and fresh experience even after Forza Horizon 5 is released, with continued support for bug fixes and issues. They'll share more details as we get closer to FH5, but Playground has shared some info on next month's Series 38 Update today.

The Series 38 Update coming next month will begin a "best hits" of sorts for Forza Horizon 4, by revisiting some of the best challenges, events, and championships from Series 7 to Series 32. This means players will also get another chance to add exclusive and rare cars to their collections if they missed them the first time around. It's awesome to see FH4 get so much love so long after release, and it paints a hopeful picture for Forza Horizon 5 in the years to come.

Forza Horizon 5 is the next entry in the open-world Forza Horizon franchise, and takes the racing series to Mexico. Forza Horizon 5 releases on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming on November 9, 2021, and is now available for preorder. Forza Horizon 4 is already one of the best Xbox racing games, and the chances are good that Forza Horizon 5 will continue the trend and become one of the best Xbox games around.
