We'll likely have to wait a few weeks to see an official announcement, but more details about the RTX 3080 Ti keep leaking.
What you need to know
- Images of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti allegedly leaked online.
- The pictures show the MSI RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X for sale for around $3,500.
- Other leaks suggest that the RTX 3080 Ti could come out as soon as next month
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti appears to have leaked online yet again. This time, an online retailer apparently placed the graphics card online long before it was set to become available. The leak comes from Reddit user FaisalKhatib, who claims to have received images of the GPU for sale (via VideoCardz. The post has since been taken down off of the NVIDIA subreddit.
The post claimed that an MSI RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X was on sale for around $3,500.
Assuming that the leaks we've seen so far are close to accurate, it appears that the RTX 3080 Ti will be one of the best GPUs on the market. It will round out the RTX 30 Series of GPUs and provide gamers, and miners, another option.
Earlier leaks of the RTX 3080 Ti state that it's based on the GA102-225 GPU and that it has 10240 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X memory. The RTX 3080 Ti has a base clock speed of 1,365 MHz and a boost clock speed of 1,665 MHz, based on leaks.
Of course, even if someone managed to get their hands on an RTX 3080 Ti before it was released, they might not be able to take advantage of it. There aren't any public drivers available for the RTX 3080 Ti at this point.
VideoCardz reports that the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti will be announced on May 31 and that reviews will come out on June 9. A release date for the cards is not known at this time.
