These are no mere Crucible matches. Prepare to sweat.
The competitive endgame PvP mode Trials of Osiris is live in Destiny 2 from May 21 until May 25, and you can launch into its playlist from the Crucible section of the in-game Director menu. In Trials of Osiris, two teams of three players face off over the course of several rounds. The team that wipes the other one out wins the round (players can revive one another in this mode), and the team with the most rounds won will be the victor of the match. Then, the winning team has a win added to their Trials win tracking card. Getting three, five, and seven wins on your card will net you special pieces of Trials gear that aren't obtainable anywhere else in-game, and if you win seven games in a row, you'll go flawless.
Going flawless grants you and your team an opportunity to travel to the Lighthouse, which is where you will be given a piece of Adept Trials loot that has better stats compared to non-Adept variants (notably, perk rolls are still randomized). Adept weapons can also roll with some exclusive perks, too, making them even more exciting to chase. Notably, though, getting three losses on your card resets it. Therefore, it's crucial to play well and cooperate with your teammates if you want all of the rewards available each week. Saint-14 in The Tower can also be given Trials of Osiris tokens that you earn while playing in exchange for some additional armor pieces or weapons.
The map that Trials matches take place on changes every week. We're not sure what map is live this week, but we'll update this article when we know more.
The gear that you get from playing well in Trials of Osiris is typically some of the best in the entire game. We're not sure what rewards are available this week, but we'll update this article when information on this week's loot drops is revealed.
