Fill your inventory up with these gear farming strategies.
Whether you're planning on using it, selling it for Scrap, or dismantling it for valuable crafting materials, gettings lots and lots of gear is core to the Outriders experience. You'll get gear naturally as you play through the game, but if you're trying to get a ton of equipment in a short amount of time, there are some strategies you can use to collect plenty of gear fast. Here's a look at what those strategies are.
Raise your World Tier for increased drop rates
One of the simplest and easiest ways to get lots of gear fast is to raise your World Tier level. This is done by gaining experience from killing enemies over time. Every time you raise your World Tier level, the drop rate for pieces of armor, weapons, and other types of gear increases substantially. Your chances for rare pieces of gear go up, too, which is a welcome bonus.
While raising your World Tier is beneficial to your gear drop rates, you should avoid doing it if you're not comfortable with your class, weapons, or overall build yet. This is because the difficulty of the game increases when you raise the World Tiers as well, and dying is a lot easier when you're playing on tougher World Tiers. Dying reverses a chunk of your World Tier progress, so don't be overzealous. Move to higher World Tiers only when you feel you're ready.
Grind repeatable side missions
Another great way to quickly farm gear is through Outriders' many repeatable side missions. These missions tend to always give you some gear for completing them, and there's a good chance that you'll find some while killing enemies during the quests, too. The miniboss-style Elite enemies you encounter in these missions also have a high chance to drop rare gear, and players with sharp eyes will be able to spot loot chests throughout missions that offer additional rewards as well.
The thing that makes side missions so lucrative is that once you've got a solid build going and once you know what to expect from each mission, you can blow through them surprisingly quickly. This makes them very efficient time-wise, which is what we're after.
Farm Expeditions in the endgame
For players who are in the endgame of Outriders, grinding Expedition missions is a fantastic way to get lots of quality gear. Expeditions are separate from your World Tier and come with Challenge Tiers (1-15) of their own, with higher Challenge Tiers featuring harder enemies, but better loot if you can beat the Expedition quickly. For players who have mastered their character and know where to maximize the efficiency of their weapons and abilities, Expeditions are superb.
Right now, most Outriders players agree that in general, the most lucrative Expedition Challenge Tier range to grind is 12-14. This is because good players can blitz their way through these Challenge Tiers if they know what they're doing to get guaranteed Legendary gear drops as well as other rewards as well. If you're struggling to beat Expeditions at this level quickly, try turning down your Challenge Tier to something more manageable for you.
