The best PCs for Oculus Quest 2 and Oculus Link include the performance hardware needed to power the experience as well as the correct USB port for a proper connection between platforms. If you'd rather not go the way of a custom PC build, pre-built machines will get the job done. We've rounded up a bunch of the best Oculus Quest 2 PCVR options right here.

Understated Look

HP OMEN 30L

Staff Pick

The HP OMEN 30L has a bunch of powerful hardware available inside its understated case, yet the price is reasonable. Add up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor (CPU), 64GB of RAM, 4TB of M.2 PCIe storage, and an NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU. The PC includes USB-A 3.0 and USB-C 3.0 for an optimal connection.

All-Out Power

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Editor's choice

The Ryzen Edition R10 of the Alienware Aurora couples AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs with AMD Radeon RX 6000 or NVIDIA RTX 30-series GPUs. You can equip a PC with more performance hardware than you'll ever need, but baseline models also start at a reasonable price. Lots of ports here for connecting your headset and accessories.

CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR

Grabbing this pre-built from CyberPowerPC is a great way to get a stylish PC for a reasonable price. Inside the RGB-infused case is a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, 500GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super GPU. There are six USB 3.1 ports for easy connectivity, and the package includes a keyboard and mouse to get you going.

Build Your Own

Maingear Vybe

The Maingear Vybe is the right way to go if you want a custom PC without building it yourself. Choose everything, right down to the custom cooling and overclocking. Get the latest CPUs from Intel and AMD, as well as the latest GPUs from NVIDIA and AMD. Plenty of ports on the custom case allow for easy connectivity.

Sleeper Pick

Dell XPS 8940 SE

The Dell XPS 8940 SE hides up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900K CPU and NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU inside a rather normal looking case. If you're interested in a PC for your home office and don't want it covered in RGB lighting and glass panels, this is the way to go. The front of the case has four USB 3.1 ports with more on the back.

Compact Case

MSI MPG Trident 3

Can't fit a full-size PC case in your VR area? MSI's MPG Trident 3 can fit just about anywhere. It has inside a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, 8GB of RAM, 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD coupled with a 1TB HDD, and an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super GPU. Despite the tiny size, it still has multiple USB 3.2 ports for easy connectivity.

Bottom line

The Oculus Quest 2 supports Oculus Link, but you will need one of the best gaming desktop PCs for optimal results. Oculus recommends at least a 4th Gen Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, 8GB of RAM, and modern GPU from NVIDIA or AMD. Depending on the hardware in your specific PC, the Quest 2 will be able to hit either 72Hz, 80Hz, or 90Hz refresh rates. The higher the better in this case.

The HP Omen 30L and Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 are both high-end options that have a ton of customizable hardware. The HP Omen 30L is a bit less bold, though it still has tempered glass and RGB lighting. The Aurora is a bit more aggressive and certainly doesn't look like anything else out there. Both PCs have the right USB ports to connect the Quest 2.

If none of the above PCs are really what you're looking for, be sure to have a look at our roundups of the best laptops for VR and the best desktop PCs for VR.
