Dell says that "this isn't the Inspiron your parents grew up with" and highlights that the laptop lineup has been redesigned from the ground up. The Inspiron 13, 14, and 15 all have adaptive thermals to manage power consumption. They also each have a lid-open sensor and optional fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello. Each of the laptops supports ExpressCharge, which can recharge a laptop up to 80% in 60 minutes.

As the name suggests, the Inspiron 14-2-in-1 is a convertible tablet that can flip around into different postures, including laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes.

The Inspiron 16 Plus has a 16-inch form factor, which is new to the Inspiron lineup. Its display has a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Plus in the laptop's name isn't just about the size of its body and display. It will have the latest Intel Core H-series processors, optional NVIDIA GTX or RTX discrete graphics, and a thermal management system that should handle heavy workloads.

Dell is also working to improve the environmental impact of its Inspiron lineup. 100% of the painted parts in the new Inspiron laptops use low volatile organic compound waterborne paint. The packaging tray for the lineup is made of 100% recycled materials, and the rest of the packaging components are made of up to 90% recycled materials.
