Microsoft Whiteboard is now available in preview on Android. The app's rollout to Android makes it easier to collaborate on the go, including from smartphones. Microsoft Whiteboard was actually spotted on Android last week, but Microsoft officially announced it today.
Microsoft Whiteboard isn't quite on every platform yet, it's not natively on macOS, but it's getting close. It's now available for Windows 10, iOS, the web, within Teams, and on Android in preview. On the Android app, you can draw, type, add sticky notes, and do other tasks you'd expect if you've used Microsoft Whiteboard on other platforms.
Right now, Microsoft Whiteboard for Android requires a work or school account.
In addition to rolling out to Android in preview, Microsoft Whiteboard expanded its capabilities within Microsoft Teams. You can now create a whiteboard within any Teams channel or chat. You can add a Whiteboard tab by pressing the "+" button at the top of a chat or channel and searching for "Whiteboard."
Microsoft Whiteboard was already available as an app on Microsoft Teams, but being able to add it to any channel or chat is handy. You can leave any particular whiteboard up within a channel or chat to allow future collaboration on the same shared board.
