Preorders for Rust Console Edition are live on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, in preparation for a May 21 release date on the systems.
Rust soon makes its arrival on consoles, with the open-world survival multiplayer hit headed to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on May 21. The title made its appearance at Microsoft's ID@Xbox showcase event on Friday, with developer and publisher, Double Eleven, opening Rust Console Edition preorders ahead of its scheduled spring debut.
Double Eleven took to the stage with new footage of Rust Console Edition, providing a glimpse at its survival mechanics in action on the system. It follows several years of success over on PC, most recently surpassing its all-time concurrent player record on Steam. The console release looks to bring the same experience to Xbox and PlayStation consoles, following its initial debut back in 2013.
Rust Console Edition is now set for May 21, following up on previously announced spring 2021 availability. The release date applies to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, also playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
Rust Console Edition ships in three available editions, with Deluxe and Ultimate variants, packing additional perks over the base package. That includes exclusive items, three-day early access to the final game, with an upcoming preorder beta scheduled for the coming months. The full breakdown of available Xbox editions is found via the Double Eleven website, with preorders live from $50, with Deluxe and Ultimate editions priced at $60 and $80, respectively.
