At least one of the upcoming additions appears to have been revealed.
What you need to know
- Microsoft has officially acquired ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks.
- Several Bethesda games are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
- A listing has been spotted for a new Windows 10 version of The Evil Within, which will likely be one of the games added to the service.
Earlier today, Microsoft shared the news that regulatory review of its deal to acquire ZeniMax Media has completed, meaning Bethesda is part of Xbox first-party family of studios. Bethesda Softworks is composed of several studios that have worked on franchises like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Dishonored, The Evil Within, Wolfenstein and more. As part of this announcement, Microsoft also shared that more Bethesda games were coming to Xbox Game Pass soon.
Now it appears that at least one of those games is The Evil Within, developed by Tango Gameworks. As spotted by Twitter user @ALumia_Italia, a new listing for The Evil Within on the Microsoft Store has popped up. This listing specifies that the game is the PC version and includes all the DLC expansions, so it would be specifically for Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Future Bethesda titles will also launch into Xbox Game Pass when they release on Xbox and PC, including titles like Starfield. Some new games will also be exclusive to Xbox and PC, though it's not clear which titles these will be at this time.
