- The RX 6700 XT appears to be the RDNA 2-based successor to the RX 5700 XT.
Images recently emerged of what appears to be the Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. Videocardz shared two images of what it states are models of the GPU from ASUS. The shared images show off the DUAL and TUF models from ASUS. The expected announcement of the RX 6700 XT is still a couple of days away, so we'll have to wait to confirm these images.
Tom's Hardware suspects that the RX 6700 XT will use the Navi 22 GPU with 40 CUs, 2,560 Stream Processors, and 12GB of GDDR6 RAM. It appears that the RX 6700 XT is the RDNA 2-based successor to the RX 5700 XT.
The ASUS Radeon RX 6700 XT Dual is reportedly a non-factory-overclocked model of the GPU. Videocardz states that it has a 2.7 slot design with a length of 29.7cm. They also state that it will have 6-pin and 8-pin power connectors.
The ASUS Radeon RX 6700 XT TUF Gaming OC 12GB is the first triple-fan Navi 22 GPU, according to Videocardz. It will reportedly have a higher TGP and a length of 32.2 cm, which is significantly longer than dual-fan variants. This model will also reportedly have dual 8-pin power connectors.
The TUF Gaming model looks similar to the AMD Radeon RX 6800 and could make our list of the best graphics card options. In his AMD Radeon RX 6800 review, our Cale Hunt states, "AMD's Radeon RX 6800 with 16GB of VRAM is a top GPU option for anyone who wants a high-end QHD gaming experience with the ability to dive into 4K."
We'll have to wait until March 3 to see the official announcement of the RX 6700 XT. For now, we'll just have to settle for these images and the rumored specs of the card.
