The LG UltraGear series is one of the best and at the top of our list of best gaming monitors. Even though this particular monitor isn't mentioned, that's simply because this is a unique model for Costco. Right now, you can get the LG UltraGear 24-inch 1080p monitor for a low price of $179.99. That's $40 off its regular cost and one of the best prices we've seen. It's very similar to other LG monitors like the GL600F, but it's going for a much less expensive cost today.
If you're on a budget, this is a great option for your gaming setup. It has all the little things you need from a gaming monitor. For one thing, the 24-inch screen size is perfect for a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. That's not so big that you need more pixels and not so small that you're struggling to see the details in the game you're playing.
It also uses an IPS panel, which usually adds to the cost a lot more than it does here. IPS monitors have great color accuracy and viewing angles. They usually have to compromise on response time, but LG has mastered the art of the 1ms response time on IPS panels in the UltraGear line. That 1ms time is as good as it gets in a consumer monitor. Add onto that a 144Hz refresh rate, which is amazing for first-person shooters and any other high-octane games and media.
The monitor is also compatible with AMD FreeSync technology, which helps you reduce screen tearing in games when you're using an AMD graphics card. The ports include two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort plus a spot for headphones. With only 300 nits of brightness, you won't get much out of HDR content, but the monitor does have HDR10 support as well.
