Halo developer 343 Industries has announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) is on sale for 40% off from now until February 15, 2021. Though the studio itself only mentioned the sale being active on Steam, the sale is active on all platforms. This includes Xbox consoles, Steam, and the Windows 10 Store.

If you've never heard of Halo: MCC before, it's essentially all of the pre-Xbox One era Halo shooters bundled up into one cohesive package. This means that for one purchase, you get Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. Additionally, it also includes the "Anniversary" remasters that were made for Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. Though the MCC had a very rocky start in 2014 due to serious issues with bugs and stability, the game was patched up excellently in recent years and was even brought to PC fully in 2020. As a result of this, the game has become one of Microsoft's greatest hits, and in our minds, it's a must-own title if you love shooter games.

Something else that's cool about the MCC is that 343 Industries, by way of free season passes, has recently begun to add brand new content to the game that wasn't present in the original versions of the titles in the collection. This includes new armor sets, weapon and vehicle skins, visor colors, and more. Right now, Season 5 of the MCC is active, and it includes tons of cool armor sets and skins for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.
