The Surface Dock 2 is close to its lowest price ever ahead of the holidays.
Microsoft's Surface Dock 2 is a handy desk companion that allows you to convert a single Surface port into a wide range of ports. Now, thanks to a deal just before the holidays, the Surface Dock 2 is down to one of its lowest prices ever. Right now, you can grab the Surface Dock 2 from Amazon for $173 and through the Microsoft Store for $175.
The Surface Dock 2 works with Surface devices released after 2017, including the Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, and Surface Go 2. It has four USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and even has a security lock slot.

USB-C heaven
The Surface Dock 2 brings much-needed updates to the original, adding in four USB-C ports alongside the usual ethernet, USB-A, and 3.5mm jacks.
For Black Friday, Microsoft cut the price of the Surface Dock 2 down to $179. With today's deal, you can grab it for a few dollars cheaper than that. The Surface Dock 2 launched at $260, though it has dropped in price since then. The lowest price we've ever seen it at is $171, so its current deal is about as good as we've seen.
In addition to allowing you to connect your Surface devices to a plethora of ports, the Surface Dock 2 supports a total power delivery of 199W. You can charge your supported Surface devices with up to 120W and then use the rest of its power to charge accessories.
The Surface Dock 2 can drive two 4K displays at 60HZ or two 50K displays at 30Hz. With it, you can run your entire desktop setup, including multiple monitors. After you set up all of your accessories and monitors, you can set up your whole desk by connecting your Surface device through a single port.
