Every weapon (we know so far) that you'll find in Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is just as much about action as exploration, and you'll need to be well-prepared to stand up against its not-so-friendly citizens. Night City comes littered with weapons to discover, each with their fundamental attributes and accompanying stats and add-ons that skew their in-game capabilities. And while still early days for Cyberpunk 2077, we're rounding up every weapon spotted so far, alongside how to find them for yourself.

Cyberpunk 2077 guns explained: Power, Smart, and Tech Weapons

The diverse world of Cyberpunk 2077 also includes a varied assortment of weapons, from the bleeding-edge in sci-fi armaments through classic silhouettes of the modern-day. While it's easy to get caught up in the beauty of Night City, you'll need to assemble a loadout to survive, with dozens of options scattered throughout to accommodate your playstyle. That means it's crucial to understand the fundamental weapon types in Cyberpunk 2077 and how your weapon of choice can influence playstyles.

Every firearm in Cyberpunk 2077 falls into three main archetypes — "Power Weapons," "Smart Weapons," and "Tech Weapons." The guns in each have their shared traits that define the category, which hugely impacts how they function in combat.

  • Power Weapons: This houses your traditional firearms, including various pistols, shotguns, and rifles with standard ammunition and simple point-and-shoot targeting.
  • Smart Weapons: The family of weapons uses homing projectiles, which lock on and guide shots toward targets, even around corners.
  • Tech Weapons: For an electrifying edge, the tech class includes a charged high-voltage burst with sustained damage.

Cyberpunk 2077 also featured a familiar color-coded tiered loot system, where all gear earns a rarity rating from common through legendary. These can impact the rolls on your weapons, including additional mod slots to expand its capabilities. Every weapon also comes in-game corporations, with entry-level manufacturers like Budget Arms and Rostovic and premium labels like Arasaka and Kang Tao.

And as with any title boasting a diverse arsenal, you have the traditional weapon categories, each with their strengths and weaknesses in combat. For example, pistols are compact yet deadly, assault rifles boast higher fire rates, while shotguns deliver a heavy blow when up close. You'll be familiar with the options if you've played any shooter before, and they translate seamlessly into Cyberpunk 2077.

With Cyberpunk 2077 releasing on December 10, we're regularly updating this list with the newest finds in-game. If a weapon you've found doesn't appear on this list, don't hesitate to drop it in the comments section.

List of Power Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

While Cyberpunk 2077 runs decades ahead of the world we know today, that's not to say the everyday favorites don't have a place in Night City. Its assorted Power Weapons all leverage traditional projectiles and ammunition, packing a punch without the need for advanced technology. You can expect revisions of modern-day favorites, including corporate spins on pistols and shotguns you'll likely find in other video games.

Name Description Gameplay Image
Carnage (Shotgun) While Budget Arms never made this shotgun the best you'll find, it's still a hell-raising firearm that hits heavy on the streets. It sticks to the fundamentals with its pump-action configuration, with a four gauge buckshot ideal for close-quarters encounters.
HJSH-18 Masamune (Submachine Gun) Arasaka produces some of the best weapons in the city, and the HJSH-18 Masamune only demonstrates that market proficiency. This submachine gun follows a familiar design but well-refined as a reliable weapon in all encounters.
M-10AF Lexington (Pistol) The M-10AF is a reliable choice in combat, with single-shot and automatic modes making this a hugely versatile sidekick. It's compact, making this ideal for self-defense and any other encounters where a high caliber isn't necessary.
M2067 Defender The Defender is a heavyweight in its class, as an auto-loading machinegun that does heavy damage with its high fire rate and 6.56mm rounds.
Overwatch (Sniper Rifle) This iconic power weapon stows a thermal imaging scope, ideal for covert operations in Night City. You can secure this through the Nomad quest chain with Panam. No Image
SOR-22 (Rifle) This near-future take on the assault rifle brings reliable fundamentals from the past while adapted for future conflicts. It utilizes classic ammunition types but still holds ground against the tech of Night City.
Tsunami Nue (Pistol) Born in the walls of Tsunami Defense Systems, this heavy pistol leaves its mark on anyone its path. While details are limited, it's looking to be a rare find in the world.

List of Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077's future city hosts all kinds of crazy technology, and its variety of Smart weapons have proven an efficient companion for killing. Any firearms in this class utilize special tracking rounds, which, when locked onto targets, alter their travel around a designated path. Compatible attachments will help guide shots to your target, rounding corners and cover to ensure a precise hit.

Name Description Gameplay Image
DB-4 Palica (Shotgun) DB-4 Palica looks to be a futuristic reinvention of the classic sawn-off shotgun... if it had dozens of projectiles and near-instantaneous tracking capabilities. It's used one-handed but ensures a clean kill when up close and personal.
D5 Copperhead (Submachine Gun) This guided SMG has only briefly appeared in pre-release materials but promises tracking capabilities within its wheelhouse. No Image
G-58 Dian (Submachine Gun) With its lightweight body and high fire rate, Kang Tao designed the G-58 Dian as a simple SMG boasting integrated target-tracking.
L-69 Zhuo (Shotgun) This beastly shotgun reigns king in close-quarters combat, with onboard homing capabilities to hit your target. You get eight barrels with this shotgun, making this more than overkill for your average takedown.
TKI-20 Shingen (Submachine Gun) The TKI-20 Shingen comes from the minds at Arasaka, functioning as a burst fire submachine gun with a tracking twist. The Japanese firm designed the weapon to be a lightweight and versatile alternative to a pistol but packing a punch with its guided projectiles.

List of Tech Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

Tech weapons crank up the voltage to the maximum, revamping signature weapons with an electromagnetic charge. While they comparatively fall short with their fire rate, charged shots leave a lasting mark on enemies, especially suited to targeting armored foes.

Name Description Gameplay Image
DB-2 Satara (Shotgun) A dangerous tool for heated conflicts when up close, the DB-2 Satara is primed for the streets, with a high-damage charged mode.
Tsunami Nekomata (Sniper Rifle) This sophisticated semi-automatic sniper hits hard in long-range encounters. The game claims it "pierces concrete like cardboard" partially down its chosen APDS steel ammunition combined with a chargeable shot as a signature for the tech category.
M-179 Achilles (Rifle) Popular among the military in this world, the M-179 Achilles looks to be a precise rifle with a chargeable shot.
DR12 Quasar (Pistol) Little is known about this compact, hi-tech pistol beyond its confirmation under known weapons in this category. But it looks sleek, with a charged shock seemingly to feature.
RT-46 The RT-46 Burya is one of the latest from Russia's Tekhtronika, although little is known about this weapon at this point in time. No Image

List of Melee Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 also packs a vast array of melee weapons, each of which features their unique ways to bash and crush your foes. They're available from various manufacturers, with many boasting distinct features to stand out in the field.

Name Description Gameplay Image
Black Unicorn Black Unicorn only briefly surfaced in pre-release material but adopts a rapier-style design with a large sweeping hilt. An elegant piece for future cyber assassins paying homage to the Witcher series. No Image
Electric Alpha Baton While a traditional telescopic baton on the surface, its name suggests additional shocking capabilities when used.
Sledgehammer Swing this hard-hitting melee weapon without reservation for severe damage to foes in your path.
Spiked Bat The Spiked Bat brings added threat to an already staple melee weapon.
Thermal Katana This red-hot katana is defined by its nano filament heated blade, which burns through targets upon contact.
