Black Friday has turned into more of a full-on season this year, which means we're getting a look at plenty of deals through the whole month of November. Microsoft and Best Buy and Amazon have all reduced various configurations of the Surface Laptop 3, with some higher spec configurations at Microsoft reduced by up to $500.

A premium, straightforward laptop
It's not a 2-in-1, so it has no form factor tricks up its sleeve. But it is a tremendous, premium looking 2-in-1 with a great display and specs to boot.
To get the highest discount, you'll have to opt for the highest spec available at Microsoft on the 13-inch model, which brings it down to $1,900. But other configurations of the 13-inch model are also available at a pretty good discount. The base model has $200 off, dropping it down to $799 from $999. Inside, you'll get an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
The Surface Laptop 3 is more of an iteration on Microsoft's Surface Laptop 2 design, featuring new processors. However, the 15-inch model is new to the line, giving you a choice of screen size for the first time. Microsoft also used the Surface Laptop 3 to expand to all-metal versions, in addition to the usual Alcantara covered options.
With these discounts, the Surface Laptop 3 is an excellent choice for a solid premium laptop experience ahead of Black Friday. That's especially true of the 15-inch model, which can be a bit hard to swallow with its original starting price.
