Rare's pirate adventure Sea of Thieves is coming to the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as an optimized title and today, the studio shared the technical details of what improvements are going.
Sea of Thieves runs at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S version runs at 1080 60 FPS. Both consoles will benefit from heavily reduced loading times thanks to the advanced SSD. The Xbox One and Xbox One X versions were capped at 30 FPS.
Sea of Thieves passed 15 million players earlier this year and has sold over a million copies on Steam. The game has grown since its release in 2018, with Megalodons, story missions, dogs and more all being added. Producer Joe Neate previously stated that next year will be the 'biggest yet' for Sea of Thieves.
