The 970 EVO Plus 500GB would make for a killer Windows 10 or Linux boot drive, allowing you to hop into the OS in a matter of seconds. The Samsung 860 EVO in 500GB or 2TB is better suited for game and general file storage. These drives a slower than the 970, but are significantly faster than mechanical drives.
