Prime Day is upon us and you can find discounts across a wide range of products, including PC hardware. Companies like Samsung, Western Digital, and Seagate are offering solid-state drives (SSDs) at a discount right now, making it an opportune time to upgrade your PC or build your own from scratch.
Prime Day has two promotions underway, one has up to 30% off Crucial, Seagate, and more while another has up to 25% off Samsung storage alone. You'll find SSDs in SATA 2.5-inch and M.2 formats, as well as external drives, and even some RAM thrown in for good measure.
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB
With sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500 and 3,300 MB/s, respectively, this M.2 SSD is lightning fast. It's also fairly affordable, making it perfect for an OS like Windows 10 or your Steam PC game library.
This sale is ideal for those in need of more (or faster) storage. If the Samsung 970 EVO Plus isn't quite what you need, there are plenty of other M.2 and 2.5-inch drives available, like the Crucial BX500 1TB. This Crucial drive has been discounted by a whopping 22%.
You don't need to spend too much on M.2 storage. If you don't mind the slower speeds of SATA compared to NVMe, the Kingston SUV500M8 240GB is a good option for a budget PC build. You won't get the 3,000 MB/s as more pricey NVMe drives, but up to 500 MB/s is still much better than a mechanical drive.
As aforementioned, there are also some RAM modules included in this promotion. Crucial's 32GB Ballistix RGB kit offers good value, looks great in most builds, and runs at 3,200MHz. There are plenty more choices available in these promotions, so be sure to check them out.
