High-end, affordable solid-state drives from SK hynix just got a lot more affordable thanks to Prime Day.

Adding extra storage to your desktop PC or laptop is always an option, and waiting for a great deal on a new solid-state drive (SSD) can get you more bytes for fewer bones. Whether you're looking to upgrade or build your own PC from the ground up, SK hynix has you covered with 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs. I've been using both of these drives in my main gaming PC since their launch, and it's been nothing but steady storage. And thanks to Prime Day savings, you won't be paying anywhere close to the regular price.

If you need some bulk storage and have a spot open for a 2.5-inch SATA SSD, the Gold S31 is a stellar solution. Prices start at just $36 for the 250GB drive.

The 2.5-inch SATA SK hynix Gold S31 is a great option for desktop builds that need bulk storage at an affordable price. Prime Day pricing has the 250GB model down to about $36, which is a savings of about $29 from its MSRP. Moving up to the 500GB model, you can grab it for about $46, which is about $54 off the MSRP. And to save the most money, the 1TB drive is down to about $84, around $76 off the MSRP.

The Gold S31 earned the Windows Central Recommended Award in my review thanks to a five-year warranty, competitive price (made better for Prime Day), strong endurance, and stellar performance. Here's how it matches up to some other popular SSDs on the market.

If you'd rather go for space and speed, the Gold P31 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD is no doubt a better choice. It also earned the Windows Central Recommended Award in my review, thanks to awesome performance, sturdy warranty and endurance, and overall value. And again, Prime Day savings knock those prices down even further. The 500GB M.2 SSD is down to about $60, a savings of about $62 from the MSRP. Moving up to 1TB, you're saving about $117 off the MSRP with a final price of about $108.

Take a look at how the Gold P31 measures up against other popular SSDs on the market. If you need fast, reliable storage, this is a great option available at a great price for Prime Day. And for more great storage options, have a look at our collection of the best SSDs available today.
