The 2K mini-LED backlit dimming zones should bring great contrast.
What you need to know
- Dell launched three new UltraSharp monitors today.
- Leading the trio is a pro monitor with 2K mini-LED backlit dimming zones for excellent contrast.
- The 24-inch model is available today starting at $450, while the mini-LED model and 34-inch curved model are expected in November and December.
Dell today launched a trio of new UltraSharp monitors that cover the whole gamut, from extreme professional visuals to balanced workhorse. Leading the pack is a mini-LED model that offers great color accuracy and contrast, a built-in colorimeter, and more.
The star of the show here is the new Dell UltraSharp 32 HDR PremierColor Monitor (UP3221Q). This 32-inch display comes with 2K mini-LED backlit dimming zones, which should make for insanely good contrast. Because each zone is individually controlled, you can expect "deep blacks and bright whites," according to Dell.
The UP3221Q also comes with a super-wide 99.8 coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, 4K resolution, and Display HDR 1000 certification. A Calman Powered colorimeter comes built in as well, allowing you to perform color calibration at any time, with or without a PC attached.
In addition to the UP3221Q, Dell launched the UltraSharp 24 USB-C Hub Monitor (U2421E) and UltraSharp 34 Curved USB-C Hub Monitor (U3421WE). The 24-inch model is Dell's first model with ComfortView Plus, which cuts down on blue light while maintaining color accuracy. The 34-inch curved model hits 95 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and includes slim bezels with dual speakers.
