Acer's Aspire 5 lineup of laptops just got bumped up to the latest-gen Intel chips.

Acer announced three new models of its Acer Aspire 5 laptop ranging from 14 inches to 17.3 inches. Each of the new Aspire 5 laptops runs on the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors and either Iris Xe graphics or optional NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics. The 14-inch Aspire 5 ($500) and a 15-inch Aspire 5 ($500) are expected in North America in December. The 17.3-inch Aspire 5 comes a bit later and is expected in North America in February 2021.
The Aspire 5 laptops are traditional clamshell notebooks aimed at productivity. They each have FHD displays that support touch. Those displays have thinner bezels that allow for an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The laptops pack in plenty of storage, with options with up to a 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD and 2TB HDD. The laptops also have options up to 24GB of DDR4 memory.

The Aspire 5 lineup features an ergonomic hinge that lifts the body of the laptop up when you open the display. This provides a more comfortable typing experience and also allows the laptop to ventilate heat more efficiently and to project sound better.
