A great AIO
HP Pavilion 27 All-in-One
Staff favorite
The HP Pavilion 27 All-in-One is a fantastic entry into the AiO market. Featuring a powerful 10th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, an NVIDIA MX350, and 1TB storage with 256GB SSD, this is one powerful device with a full HD display.
Great sound
Dell Inspiron 27 7000 All-in-One
Dell has a beautiful 27-inch all-in-one PC with an Intel 10th Generation Core i5 or i7 processor, UHD 620 graphics, up to 12GB RAM, and up to a 512GB NVMe SSD for fast file transfers. Its display can be configured with touch, too!
Robust computing
Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 540
With a 9th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, privacy hideable Windows Hello enabled a pop-up camera, and a quad HD 27-inch display, the Lenovo IdeaCenter AIO is an excellent all-round PC for browsing the web, working in Office, and getting general stuff done in an excellent design.
The dark side
Apple iMac 27-inch
If you're not interested in Windows, the best alternative to the Surface Studio 2 is an Apple iMac. Featuring the latest 8th generation Intel Core processors, up to 32GB RAM, an amazing 5K 27-inch display, and a Radeon Pro 570X for graphics, the iMac can chew through most tasks with ease.
Budget option
Asus ZenAiO 27
With a 10th Generation Intel Core i3 processor, 23-inch 1080p display, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB NVMe drive for storage, this Acer Aspire AIO is decidedly midrange. But that's the point of a budget-friendly option. This is great for general office work and web browsing.
The old king
Surface Studio 1
Perhaps you're looking for the Surface Studio 2, but cheaper. In that case, pick up the last generation Surface Studio, featuring the same beautiful design and display, just with less powerful specifications. The original Surface Studio can still get by doing most tasks with ease, however, so it shouldn't be that bad.
If we're making a suggestion
Whether you're looking for something with a beautiful display like the Acer Aspire AiO, or something beautifuly designed like the Dell Inspiron 27, we've got a recommendation for everyone. Even the original Surface Studio is a great pick, if you can find it for a good price.
If you're looking for a Surface Studio 2 alternative because you just can't afford the Surface Studio 2, the Surface Studio 1 is a great idea. The Surface Studio 1 and Surface Studio 2 are very similar on the outside, the only major differences being with what's on the inside. Now, the Surface Studio 1 is using older hardware, with a much less powerful GPU and slower mechanical hard drive, so keep that in mind if you do decide to go with the original Surface Studio.
We're also huge fans of the HP Pavilion 27 thanks to its simple design. It has great speakers, a beautiful display, and is a great all rounder.
