  • Lenovo unveiled the new ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 today.
  • The business laptop is built on the Intel Evo platform with 11th Gen chips and a unique dual-tone design.
  • Intel and AMD versions of the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 are expected to launch in October starting at $729.

Lenovo is busy unleashing a slew of new ThinkBooks on the world today, and one of the most interesting is the new ThinkBook 13s Gen 2. Like other laptops hitting the scene these days, the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 adopts Intel's latest 11th Gen Core CPUs, and it's certified as part of Intel's Evo platform. It's also quite a looker, featuring a unique dual-tone lid against a solid "Mineral Gray" base.

Beyond that unique cover design, the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 is built to feel premium with an all-metal chassis. It's also 14.9mm (0.58 inches) thick and weighs just under three pounds.

Lenovo has also gone with a 16:10 display ratio here, giving you more vertical room to work with. That display features Dolby Vision HDR and is color accurate up to 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut.

All of the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2's other features are everything you'd expect out of a modern laptop. There's Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Thunderbolt 4, and Intel's new, more powerful integrated Iris Xe graphics. Modern standby allows the laptop to receive notifications while the lid is closed as well.

According to Lenovo, you can expected to net up to 12 hours of battery life with the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2. When the battery is running low, the laptop also support rapid charging to top things off quickly.

The ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 is expected to go on sale in October with Intel CPUs starting at $829. Lenovo says it will also sell an AMD model starting in October from $729.
