What you need to know
- ASUS has announced a partnership with German streetwear brand ACRONYM, reworking the appearance on its ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop.
- The new variant makes its arrival on September 18, sporting an AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2060, expected to cost €2699.
ASUS has teased an upcoming collaboration with Berlin-based design agency and streetwear brand ACRONYM, on track to release a remixed variant on its ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop. The device, formally dubbed the ROG ZEPHYRUS G14-ACRNM RMT01, looks to translate many of the design philosophies design embraced by the luxury technical apparel line. The project comes with ACRONYM co-founder Errolson Hugh and graphic designer David Rudnick attached, set for release on September 18.
The firm's reimaging of the ROG Zephyrus G14 has only received hazy teasers, with initial imagery shrouded by inflated air packaging, distorting the custom detailing. The design appears to sport new text and markings across the external housing, in line with the brand's militaristic and utilitarian influences. That further builds on the original target for the G14, targeting a younger demographic with a minimal design, initially augmented with a perforated lid and a metal corner tag.
Its website suggests this collaboration pushes the G14 line's high-end, with its top-spec AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS CPU, flanked by the NVIDIA RTX 2060. This model also packs a 14-inch 1440p at 60Hz, with assumedly up to 32GB RAM and a 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSD to complete the package. It brings a new style to an already highly-capable laptop, with impressive performance and benchmarks that don't disappoint.
The ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS G14-ACRNM RMT01 makes its arrival on Friday, set to cost €2699.
