SK hynix first stepped into the consumer SSD market in 2019 with its Gold S31 2.5-inch SATA SSD, a durable SSD with strong performance and a competitive price. Now, the Gold P31 aims to fill the needs of gamers, creators, and designers who require a high-performance, reliable, and competitively priced M.2 SSD that works with the PCIe (3.0) NVMe interface. It also happens to be the first 128-layer NAND flash-based SSD available on the consumer market, allowing for modest power consumption and strong performance.
The 500GB and 1TB options are expected to hit 3,500 MB/s sequential read speeds, while the 500GB model should hit 3,100 MB/s and the 1TB model 3,200 MB/s write speeds. The 1TB model also comes with a 750 TBW rating, which means you should be able to write up to 750 terabytes of data before seeing a failure. All SSDs come with a strong five-year warranty to help protect your purchase.
