Fly a plane in Minecraft.
What you need to know
- Minecraft adds new content, often created by the community, in its Minecraft Marketplace.
- These content packs can dramatically alter the game, and add things that just aren't possible otherwise.
- This pack, Super Planes by Pathway Studios, can bring a little Microsoft Flight Simulator to Minecraft.
- The pack features multiple functional planes, locations, and skins that all tie together.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is the game on everyone's minds right now, with its breathtaking visuals and sheer technical achievement on display. But some people aren't able to enjoy the wonder that is Microsoft's latest foray into flight simulators, particularly if they're waiting for Microsoft Flight Simulator to come to Xbox. If you're playing Minecraft in the mean time and are craving some plane action, consider the Super Planes pack in the Minecraft Marketplace.
Super Planes is more than just a map or texture pack, and actually makes functional changes to the way Minecraft works. With this pack, you can fly functioning planes (with multiple variants to choose from!) around towns, cities, and other Minecraft-built locations, and even customize your character with new skins. While it won't reach the same breadth or visual fidelity of Microsoft Flight Simulator, it is available anywhere Minecraft is, and is an add-on for the game you already know and love.
If you're interested, you can check out Super Planes on the Minecraft Marketplace, or look it up through Minecraft on any of your devices. If you give it a try, be sure to let us know what you think!
