- 8Bitdo has unveiled the Sn30 Pro for Xbox Cloud Gaming, its fun-sized mobile controller primed for Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Project xCloud game streaming platform.

Microsoft continues to ready its Xbox Game Streaming platform, with ongoing Project xCloud trials establishing the foundations for on-the-go Xbox One gaming. The preview tests bring full-fledged Xbox One titles to Android and iOS, and while touch controls remain in development, the best experience still requires a controller in-hand.
We've already seen Microsoft certify third-party peripherals under its "Designed for Xbox" banner, spearheaded by a licensed controller clip from PowerA's MOGA line. The latest concept comes from 8Bitdo, unveiling a series of endearing Project xCloud-ready accessories, including an Xbox-themed spin on its "Sn30 Pro" controller.
The Sn30 Pro for Xbox Cloud Gaming provides a compact Xbox One controller primed for streaming. The Bluetooth-connected gamepad replicates the layout of Microsoft's own, with a familiar ABXY button array, dual thumbsticks, and even rear-mounted bumpers and triggers. The only notable switch comes with symmetrical sticks, rather than the offset design synonymous with past controllers. The device also boasts an 18-hour rechargeable battery, charged over USB-C.
The included mounting clip affixes the controller to your mobile, providing an all-inclusive experience for compact gaming. 8Bitdo has launched preorders for the device on Amazon, starting at $45 in the U.S. However, the manufacturer frames this as an Android-only accessory, with iOS Project xCloud testing seemingly hampered by Apple's restrictive App Store policies.
For those who favor their existing Xbox One controller, 8Bitdo has also detailed a $15 mounting clip compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Elite controllers.
The traditional clamp-styled design binds to your Xbox controller from below while keeping your mobile positioned firmly for viewing. The accessory also features a telescopic phone grip and adjustable thumbscrews, akin to the MOGA-branded alternative we awarded the "Best Xbox Accessory" in 2019.
8Bitdo plans to release both Xbox accessories on September 21, 2020 — with preorders now live via Amazon.
