This bundle on Amazon includes the Razer Gigantus 3XL mouse pad and the Razer Basilisk Ultimate wireless gaming mouse for just $129.99 total. The popular wireless mouse goes for $150 on its own, and this is a mega mouse pad that normally sells for $50 by itself. Together in this deal, you're saving $70 total.
Let's start with Gigantus the Mouse Pad. Sounds like a cartoon character. Razer actually has several mouse pads in the Gigantus series. The one on sale today is the largest in the lineup. It is 1,200 x 550mm and 4mm thick. That is large enough to cover most of your desktop, and the thickness ensures it stays uniformly flat even over that distance.
The mouse pad is designed for low-sensitivity playstyles. As you adjust your sensitivity for different games, you'll find your wrist doing a lot more of the action than the mouse itself. Unfortunately, these actions can be limited by the size of the mouse pad, which would otherwise cause you to have to reposition your mouse anytime it falls off the edge or comes close to it. It also features a micro-textured surface for precise pixel tracking, and the bottom has a Razer Green non-slip rubber base so it will stay in place.
Our review of the Basilisk Ultimate gave it 4 stars out of 5 and a Recommended badge. Richard Devine said its "undoubtedly worthy of its spot atop Razer's gaming mouse pyramid" and added that compared to other Razer mice, "the Basilisk is more ergonomic, which makes it better to use in daily computing life as well as in gaming."
The Basilisk Ultimate is well-equipped to handle everything from casual computer use to intense gaming. Despite being wireless, it uses Razer's HyperSpeed technology that reduces latency. You won't even notice it's wireless with how fast the response time is. You'll also be able to seamlessly switch frequencies when you're hit with a particularly bad environment for wireless noise.
The 20,000 DPI is fully adjustable thanks to the Razer Focus+ optical sensor. Every tiny movement of your mouse is tracked. You'll get unprecedented precision and accuracy that you can fine-tune to your needs whether you need to flick your wrist for a trigger-happy shooter or slow down to make sure you're getting every command just right.
