Acer announced its new Enduro lineup of rugged devices today. The lineup includes two rugged notebooks, the Enduro N7 and Enduro N3 as well as two tough tablets, the Enduro T1 and Enduro T5. Acer built the Enduro PCs to handle tough and demanding work environments such as construction sites, manufacturing plants, and the outdoors. The PCs feature impact resistance, dust resistance, and water resistance, including being MIL-810G and IP65 certified in the case of the Enduro N7. Pricing and availability details aren't fully available at this time, but the Acer Enduro N3 should be available in North America in August starting at $899.
The Enduro N7 is a rugged notebook with shock absorbent protection. It's MIL-810G and IP65 certified and has been testing to withstand drops on hard flooring. It's capable or running in hot or cold environments and should be easily viewable outdoors thanks to its 700-nit 14-inch screen. It has two batteries inside, one that can be hot-swapped and another to bridge between swaps.
On the inside, the Enduro N7 runs on a quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. It features TPM 2.0 for device security and a fingerprint sensor that supports Windows Hello.
