Take your Minecraft loot to the next level with enchantments available for melee weapons, ranged bows, and armor.

Minecraft Dungeons channels the best of the blocky franchise into co-op dungeon-crawling, with loot playing a significant role in that role-playing adventure. The ongoing grind for new gear pushes gameplay far beyond the end credits, whether powerful melee weapons, elegant bows, or your trusty armor. And when coupled with enchantments, you draw the best of your loadout.

We've wrapped up all Minecraft Dungeons enchantments, and what they mean in gameplay, so far.

Minecraft Dungeons Enchantments explained

Like the vanilla Minecraft that inspired Minecraft Dungeons, enchantments upgrade your gear with magical abilities, and now play a more significant role in the fundamentals of combat. Every weapon or armor set you receives a randomized roll of passive enchantments, with up to three possible at a single time. Each slot features a trio of possible options, with the player choosing one by investing earned points.

Enchantments come split across three main categories: melee weapons, ranged weapons, and armor. The three classes each feature exclusive enchantments, changing how each item performs within its group. For example, melee upgrades alter how close-quarters weapons deal damage, while armor enchantments add passive properties around your character and their actions.

Minecraft Dungeons' family of melee weapons assemble a sizeable arsenal, encompassing all forms of items suited for combat that's up-close and personal. Arms that roll melee enchantments feature close-quarters essentials like swords, axes, daggers, pickaxes, and gauntlets. Other included items span hammers, maces, scythes, sickles, spears, and glaives.

Enchantments toward melee weapons grant a variety of gameplay augmentations, changing how your tools perform upon striking enemies. Those include various damage modifiers, support bonuses, and generally unique traits available through your available roll of enchantments.
