New Elite armor sets, energy sword skins, Halo 4 armor effects, and more.

With the official launch of Season 7 of Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC), there are now dozens of brand new items available to earn in the (free) Season 7: Elite season pass. To earn the new unlocks, you'll need to play campaign levels or multiplayer matches and complete challenges. This will net you experience, which is then used to rank up your season pass and make each item in it unlockable. At that point, all you need to do is spend a season point (earned from challenges and season pass rankups) to unlock each new item.

Here's a look at everything on offer for Season 7: Elite, including all of the season pass rewards as well as the unique timed and challenge-specific items available outside of the pass.

Halo: MCC Season 7 rewards: Challenge rewards

In addition to the standard season pass rewards, there are also some special rewards that players can only obtain by completing specific gameplay challenges while playing. Note that these unlocks must be earned during Season 7. Here's a look at each of the challenges you'll need to complete to get all of these items, as well as the unlocks themselves:

Elite Swordplay: Complete the "Nice Slice" and "Keep Killer" challenges. "Nice Slice" requires you to earn 343 points with an energy sword during Season 7, while "Keep Killer" requires you to kill 500 high-ranking Elites in Campaign or Spartan Ops on Normal difficulty or higher. Completing this challenge unlocks the Evocoti's Edge Energy Sword skin for Halo 3 (pictured above).
Nightcrawler: Complete the "Bedtime Stories" and "Caesar Dressing" challenges. "Bedtime Stories" requires you to complete seven night Campaign missions on Heroic difficulty or harder, and "Caesar Dressing" requires you to get 343 assassination kills. As a reward, you'll get the Tinted Smoke Tech Suit for your Halo 3 Spartan.

Nightcrawler: Complete the "Brain Burst" and "Quattro King" challenges. "Brain Burst" requires you to get 500 headshots in matchmade games, while "Quattro King" requires you to win 15 ranked matchmade games in Halo 4. Completing this challenge grants you the PIXEL Battle Rifle skin in Halo 4 (pictured above).

Halo: MCC Season 7 rewards: Timed rewards

Lastly, there's a special reward available in Season 7 that all players can obtain easily by logging onto the MCC during Season 7. Here's what it is:

Mk. VII Keystone Helmet: This Halo Infinite-inspired helmet for Halo 4 is available for free from The Exchange menu for the duration of Season 7: Elite.
